SUMMARY:ISTC/ABPP Career & Resource Fair
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and J.F. Ingram State Technical College (ISTC)\, the Alabama Bureau of Pardons & Paroles’ Mobile Day Reporting Center (DRC) will host a career and resource fair on Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. The Bureau and its partners will highlight support services\, resources and job opportunities for probationers\, parolees\, ISTC students and others. \n  \nWHAT: ISTC/ABPP Career & Resource Fair. \nWHEN: Sept. 25. \nWHERE: ABPP Mobile DRC\, 3402 Demetropolis Road\, Mobile\, AL 36693. \n  \nThis initiative supports the broader mission of reducing recidivism while strengthening Alabama’s workforce. Bureau Director Cam Ward emphasized the importance of employment in successful reentry: “Jobs are a crucial component of successful reentry. When someone overcomes an underlying mental health condition or substance use issue\, stable employment is essential. Statistics show that good employment reduces the likelihood of reoffending.
