Accounting Director
Candace Moore serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Accounting Division for the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles.
In 2001, Moore began her career as as an Accountant working with grants for the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. After serving 13 years in this role, she left to serve at the Alabama Department of Finance to work with STAARS as Agency Implementation Manager.
After the STAARS project was completed, Moore went on to work with Alabama Department of Mental Health, Alabama Department of Transportation, and most recently, Alabama Ethics Commission where she served as Chief Financial Officer.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Troy University. She also has her master’s degree in Business Administration from Troy University in Montgomery.
Moore retired from the United States Army Reserve after serving 25 years. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama. She also is a member of Kappa Epsilon Psi, Inc Military Sorority. Moore formerly taught Zumba in her spare time.
