The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 28 parole hearings Wednesday, granting seven paroles – including one medical parole – and denying 21. The board also held 14 pardon hearings.
Among those denied parole Wednesday were 18 inmates who have been convicted of violent crimes.
